Exhibition at the Annonciade museum
From 9 december 2016 to 17 april 2017
Pointillist, nabi, fauve and cubist works that testify to the research on colour
Acquisitions and donations : development and growth of the collection
60 years after its inauguration, the Annonciade Museum makes a review of the acquisitions and donations received over the past few years.
The selection of works which might be part of the museum's collection is very strict in order not to compromise the exceptional quality and rarity of the collections.
They should be made between 1890 and 1940 with a preference for pointillist, nabi, fauve and cubist works and all should testify to the research on colour : Paul Signac, Edouard Vuillard, Aristide Maillol, Ker Xavier Roussel, Louis-Mathieu Verdilhan, Jean Puy and Robert Delaunay.
Other works of art on paper are also relevant even if they are rarely displayed to public.
This exhibition shows the City's commitment to further develop the collections of the Museum thanks to the exemplary financial effort for such a small town.
