Alexia Weill lives and works in Switzerland on the Riviera Vaudoise. She grew up between Paris and Nice and studied Cinema at the Ecole Supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle in Paris. Born into a family of artists, she is passionate about sculpture and painting from an early age. Alexia began her career working in special effects and directing on feature films, commercials, TV shows and documentaries.
At the same time, she follows drawing classes at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris and sculpture in sculptor workshops between Paris and Nice. She practices for a long time clay sculpture and is passionate about stone. She exhibits her sculptures in Switzerland, France, Spain and England. By working the stone, she seeks harmony in round forms. In 2009, she received the diploma of honor from the Academy of Fine Arts of South-East France during an exhibition in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. In 2015, she made her first public commission for the medieval garden of the municipality of Villeneuve. Her sculptures are permanently in exhibition in Switzerland: in Villeneuve in the medieval garden, in Vevey in the gardens of the Grand Hôtel du Lac and in Montreux in the gardens of the Plexus Art Gallery.
