On the May 18th, 2018 the 15th edition (publishing) of Nuit européenne des musées will take place.
That evening, numerous museums will open their doors free everywhere in France and in Europe from nightfall to midnight. Lighted(Enlightened) and commented visits, play routes(courses), workshops(studios), projections, tastings, living shows, exceptional animations will give to live to a wide public an at once convivial and play experience(experiment) of the museum.
This year will mark fourteenth edition(publishing) of event. In 2017, event had mobilised more than 3800 museums in thirty European countries, among which 1800 in France which received more than 2 million visitors. Since her launch in 2005, Nuit européenne des musées attracts, every year, a numerous public in an increasing number of museums. The success to the young audience confirmed.
Operation «class, work!», in partnership with the Ministry of Education, is renewed this year. In 2017, she had allowed 1 more than 700 classes and about 330 museums of France to develop projects which, during the Night of museums, favoured the coming of a school and family public. This 14th edition(publishing) joins the programme planning(programming) of Année européenne du patrimoine culturel, set up by the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union, and officially thrown(launched) during the European Forum of Culture, on December 7th and 8th of this year, in Milan: patrimoineeurope2018.fr
Nuit européenne des musées in 2019 will have so as objective to highlight the European dimension of art history and of collections of museums and to create cross-border synergies with the establishments of the neighbouring countries with France. Finally, the extension of the action(share) of arts education and cultural Class, work! will be proposed to the European museums participating in the Night of museums.
Nuit européenne des musées is organised by the Department of heritages (service(department) of the museums of France and Communications Department) in contact with Regional Cultural Affairs Directorates (DRAC). She(It) benefits from the auspices of the UNESCO, of the Council of Europe and of ICOM and numerous institutional partnerships and medias.
On the social night networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), information, calls(appeals) to participation and numerous exchanges will be organised.
