From May 19, the Museum of the Gendarmerie and Cinema will host a new exhibition entitled "Unusual investigation, the gendarmerie from yesterday to today". To give the mythical gendarmes a new place in her museum space, the new curator Laurence Durieux had the idea of ​​creating a historical fresco through well-known events and other more surprising ones.

The gendarme has been protecting and watching over you without you still being able to see him for almost seven centuries. For the first time at the Musée de la Gendarmerie et du Cinéma, a temporary exhibition pays tribute to one of the oldest French institutions which has also inspired several neighboring countries and a well-known saga.
