"Brigitte and Romy under the Saint-Tropez sun": the exhibition is open!
Brigitte Bardot, Romy Schneider: two myths of French cinema meet in Saint-Tropez for a new and original exhibition which has just opened in front of the Place des Lices, Jean-Despas room
Unusual because it is the first time that an exhibition is devoted solely to these two stars who met in Saint-Tropez in 1968. Original because the scenography evokes the crossed destinies of Brigitte and Romy, whose paths were so different, but who were brought together during the shooting of La Piscine by a certain Alain Delon.
Produced by the City of Saint-Tropez on an idea of the curator Henry-Jean Servat, journalist and writer, the exhibition immerses the visitor in the atmosphere of the 50s to 80s and pays a beautiful tribute to the two female icons of the 7th art, through photos, paintings, posters and objects lent by private and public collectors.
Installed in the Jean-Despas room, the exhibition is open to the public every day until Sunday, September 18 included, at the affordable rate of 5 €, from 10am to 1pm and from 3pm to 7pm.
The City thanks Brigitte Bardot, Sarah Biasini, Bernard d'Ormale, Marc de Raemy, as well as the Harcourt studio, the lenders Simone Duckstein, Henri Prévost-Allard, APPO Vincent Roux, Jean-Louis Chaix, the artists Olivier Coulon and Hervé Le Fur, and the collectors Bruno Ricard and Jean-Pierre Allamand.
