Festive jazz ball "La guerre des boutons" by the Pulcinella company
For 18 years, Toulouse-based group Pulcinella has never tired of doing what it wants. Armed with drums, double bass, accordion and saxophone, they mix funk, jazz, Balkan music, electro, musette, progressive rock... to create a polymorphous music without borders.

For the hybrid, swaying, carnal repertoire of "The War of the Buttons", the quartet becomes a quintet, with two accordionists (who also play keyboards)!
And when they're not playing saxophone, double bass, drums and accordion, the Pulcinella give their voices to this lively, percussive repertoire with Afrolatin, musette, funk and Balkan influences...

Tribute to Claude Nougaro by the Filipe Loir quintet
Claude Nougaro died 20 years ago. A great fan of jazz, Latin and African music, the Toulousan artist worked hard throughout his career to unite French chanson, poetry and rhythm, playing on the musicality of words.
Singer Filipe Loir, Claudio Célada on piano, Jo Labita on accordion, Gérard Pinçon on drums and Michel Cerny on double bass, take up the swing of jazz standards by Charles Mingus, Thelonious Monk, Michel Legrand, Dave Brubeck, Didier Lockwood... over which the French artist has admirably laid magnificent lyrics.
In an acoustic quintet, Filipe Loir pays a vibrant tribute to the poetry of the words of the author of Toulouse and Nougayork!

Soyons (pas trop) sérieux - lyricomic show with Tropézien Philippe Brocard
"This is the story of three friends, soprano Amélie Robins, tenor-guitarist Florian Laconi and baritone-pianist Philippe Brocard, who met during their international operatic careers...
Three talents who share a heterogeneous and atypical career path, with the desire to mix genres, but above all the love of singing and the stage, to share them, sometimes transforming them to always sublimate them and offer them to an audience both novice and fond of great music.
These three artists will take you on a journey, with humor and a great deal of self-mockery, into a totally unexpected musico-lyrical world, ranging from Donizetti to Piaf, via Verdi and Ella Fitzgerald, a world for everyone, where we take ourselves for everything... but above all not seriously!"

Chicos y Mendez (Latin American music - Peru)
Chicos y Mendez are part of the "Latin Alternative" style. Like its lead singer, Peruvian-born David Méndez Yépez, the group is rooted in the Latin American spirit, and then goes on to create its own musical path. Chicos y Mendez's music is open to the world, with contemporary influences. At times urban, pop, rock or reggae, it is accompanied by lyrics written in Spanish and French, reflecting the desire to encounter the poetry of others and to re-enchant the world through song.

From Tuesday 2 to Friday 5 July 2024 at 9.30 pm.

Free entry.
