Ambroisine Bré

Mezzo-soprano Ambroisine Bré began her musical training at a very early age in a master class before entering the course for young professional singers at the CRR in Paris. In 2013, she joined Yves Sotin's class at the CNSM in Paris. Winner of several opera competitions, she won four prizes in 2017 at the "Mozart de l'Opéra" at TCE and then won, with pianist Qiaochu Li, the Grand Prix Duo Singer/Piano of the 2017 Nadia and Lili Boulanger International Competition. Ambroisine Bré's career has taken off on several major European stages. In 2018, she sang the role of Sesto in La Clemenza di Tito in Prague (dir. Marc Minkowski). Last summer, she gave a recital of French melodies at the Festival de Radio France, then was heard at the Festival de la Chaise Dieu and the Festival Sinfonia in the Périgord with Les Talens Lyriques (dir.Christophe Rousset) in a programme entitled "Les Larmes de la Vierge" (Rossi, Monteverdi, Perti, Vinci, Haëndel...). In 2018, he was heard in La Tentation de l'Italie (Le Berger Fidèle (Rameau) and La Morte di Lucrezia (Montéclair)) with Les Talens Lyriques at the Philharmonie du Luxembourg and the Berlin Staatsoper.

 

 

Mathilde CALDERINI

He co-founded the Ensemble Ouranos, a variable geometry wind quintet with clarinettist Amaury Viduvier. They recently won First Prize and the Audience Prize at the Carl Nielsen International Chamber Music Competition in Copenhagen and recorded their first CD on the NoMad Music label. Mathilde regularly performs with David Grimal's Les Dissonances ensemble and with renowned soloists such as Bertrand Chamayou, Renaud Capuçon, Sylvain Blassel, Xavier Demaistre, Guillaume Bellom, Aurèle Marthan, Yan Levionnois, Denis Pascal...  Mathilde CALDERINI studied the flute with Claude LEFEBVRE at the CRR in Paris, then with Sophie CHERRIER and Vincent LUCAS at the CNSM in Paris. She then studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London with William BENNETT and Samuel COLES.


 

Ismaël Margain

Ismaël Margain was born in 1992 in Sarlat where he began his musical training (piano, flute, saxophone, jazz, writing...). The pianist and director Vahan Mardirossian, with whom Ismaël has worked since he was very young, introduced him to his former teacher Jacques Rouvier who prepared him for the entrance exam to the Paris Conservatory. Accepted unanimously, he chose to join Nicholas Angelich's class and then, when the latter left, to continue his training with Roger Muraro and Michel Dalberto. Winner of the 2011 Génération SPEDIDAM International Competition and 1st prize at the Geneva Arts Society Competition, it was at the 2012 Long-Thibaud Competition that the general public discovered Ismaël. After playing Mozart's concerto No. 23 in the final, he won the Audience Prize and the 3rd Marguerite Long Grand Prix awarded by jury president Menahem Pressler. He played this concerto again at the "Victoires de la Musique Classique 2015", where he was nominated in the category "instrumental soloist revelation". Following these awards Ismaël toured Latin America and the United States for a series of recitals and master classes, then returned to Europe and performed in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and Bulgaria.  He is a regular guest at numerous festivals (Easter and August Music in Deauville, Chopin in Paris, Menton Music Festival, Piano aux Jacobins in Toulouse, Nohant Festival Chopin, l'Esprit du Piano in Bordeaux, Lille Piano(s) Festival, Pianoscope in Beauvais, Festival of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Klavier Ruhr Festival in Germany, All about piano in London . ...) where he performs solo and chamber music, notably with Alexandra Soumm, Renaud Capuçon, Adrien La Marca, Yura Lee, Edgar Moreau, Bertrand Chamayou, the Hermès Quartet ... In Paris, he performs at the Salle Cortot for the Centre de Musique de Chambre, but also at the Salle Gaveau, the Musée d'Orsay, the Auditorium du Louvre, the Cité de la Musique, the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées. He plays as soloist with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Orchestre National de Lille, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice, the Orchestre de l'Opéra de Marseille, the Orchestre National d'Île de France ...


Ismaël Margain is an artist associated with the Singer Polignac Foundation, winner of the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe award, supported by the SAFRAN Foundation, the Fondation l'Or du Rhin and the Banque Populaire Foundation. In 2010 he formed a duo with Guillaume Bellom with whom he recorded two discs, dedicated to Mozart and Schubert (ffff in Télérama) on the Aparté/Harmonia Mundi label. He then made 3 live recordings for the B Records label: Mendelssohn in 2015, Schubert solo in 2017, and a recital for 2 pianos with Guillaume Bellom in 2018.
