This new edition of “Saint-Tropez Tourisme” official magazine is a perfect way to enhance our village and to show that Saint-Tropez is an international holiday destination in terms of tourism and new markets, especially emerging-market countries : India, Brazil, Kazakhstan. This magazine also shows that Saint-Tropez is a village in which traditions and heritage are very important. In order to preserve and promote them, the City and Saint-Tropez Tourisme develop the tourist offer in terms of culture and events year after year. The new Gendarmerie and Cinema Museum, which has been renovated in the original building of the “Gendarme de Saint-Tropez” TV series, was inaugurated in June 2016. A new museum with three floors dedicated to the history of the Gendarmerie corps in the building, the Saint-Tropez of the 1950’s and 1960’s, the “Gendarmes” TV series, the movies shot in town and the iconic actresses.

The ground floor currently features a new exhibition of exclusive pictures dedicated to Brigitte Bardot. It is the most visited museum in the area : a real success with more than 160 000 visitors from France and abroad. The Museum of Maritime History in the Citadel, open in July 2013, hosted about 200 000 visitors in 2015 and 2016. To discover this summer the outdoor exhibition of monumental sculptures from German artist Stefan Szczesny. Summer exhibition organized in the Annonciade Museum, dedicated to painter Georges Braque and sculptor Henri Laurens. An exclusive exhibition to discover in the Butterfly House-Dany Lartigue Museum. The MUST 2-week cultural pass is for sale for € 10 to enter the 4 museums. Quality events complete the 2017 calendar : Niki de Saint Phalle monumental sculptures exhibition, Classic Tennis Tour, evening concerts in the Citadel (Roberto Alagna, Sting), Saint-Tropez Fight Night and electro music concert. Finally, in Place Blanqui, in front of the Gendarmerie and Cinema Museum, a bronze statue of Brigitte Bardot designed by Italian artist Milo Manara will be inaugurated on September, 28th for Brigitte Bardot’s birthday.
