Karl Lagerfeld loved Saint-Tropez with a passion. He stayed here every summer for the last ten years, the local economic personalities and actors, unanimously salute the memory of a baroque dandy with an incisive sense of humour and of an exquisite courtesy, who would leave his mark in the history of fashion.

Jean-Roch: A friend

-"Karl was a genius!" The king of night life, met him several years ago at an event in his VIP Room in Paris. A friendship was born and so were many artistic projects, "for the presentation of the Chanel Cruise collection in 2010, Karl asked me to play my own role in a short film 'Remember Now' and naturally I asked him to be in my Saint-Tropez video clip... it was a normal happening on the path of our friendship, Karl Lagerfeld was one of the biggest inspirations of my life..." resumes Jean-Roch who was working on a new project with Karl just before he passed away.

"Behind his very sophisticated image, he was a humble, subtle and attentive man." I remember how he used to pose on the pontoon, with his unique sophisticated look in the hot summer sun. White, high collared shirt, a powdered pony tail, gloves... One day I accompanied him back to his car and on the way we spoke about the future of Pampelonne, "If I can do anything to help you, please don't hesitate to ask." I found that very elegant and thoughtful, especially coming from someone who gave the impression of not always paying attention to things...
