Saint-Tropez and the sea

When we think of Saint-Tropez, we immediately think of the Mediterranean sea, which borders it with its turquoise waters.

 

Before becoming famous throughout the world and welcoming the most beautiful yachts in the world, competing in beauty and elegance in summer, the port of Saint-Tropez was above all a merchant port.

 

At the end of the 18th century, Saint-Tropez was even the third French port in the Mediterranean, after Marseille and La Ciotat, both in terms of the number of ships and sailors.

 

With a capacity of 734 anchorages divided into two basins for an area of 9 hectares and a location in the heart of the village, the port of Saint-Tropez is today one of the major stopover centers in the Mediterranean where innovation and quality of services make it one of the most famous ports in the world.

 

Sailors from all over the world particularly enjoy sailing and challenging each other in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, an idyllic place !

And they thave the opportunty regularly since no less than fifteen events are organised throughout the year by the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez.

 

The most famous regattas are the Voiles de Saint-Tropez but also the ArMeN Festival, the 900 Nautiques, the Hippocampe cup, Les Dames de Saint-Tropez, the Bravades regatta, the Voiles Latines, the Rolex Giraglia, the Trophée Bailli de Suffren, Dragon Saint-Tropez, Les Voiles d'Automne...
