Stefan Szczesny is an internationally renowned artist who lives and works in Saint-Tropez since 2001.After studying at the Beaux-Arts in Paris and at the Villa Romana in Florence, he returned to Germany where he organized the first exhibition of New Fauves ("die Neuen Wilden") "Rundschau Deutschland" in Munich and Cologne in 1981.
In 1994, he moved to New York and then founded the Szczesny Factory in 1996 in Berlin. At the same time, he traveled to the Caribbean and to Mosquito Island, where he developed numerous artistic projects. His works, influenced by the tropical environment but also by the Mediterranean, are part of the continuity of the past artistic tradition from which he develops his own innovative and unique pictorial language. His art is characterized by an exceptional mastery of drawing, by a subtle balance of form and color.Exalting the female figure, Mediterranean culture, the joy of living, the beauty and exuberance of fertile and generous nature, her sensual work aims to be the incarnation and representation of Earthly Paradise.
