Barbeyrolles was acquired in 1977 by Régine Sumeire. This twelve hectares vineyard, located at the foot of the village of Gassin, is a preserved spot of magical beauty on the Saint-Tropez peninsula. The wine comes from organic agriculture phoughing with horses.

Régine Sumeire was one of the first women vinifying in Provence. Since 1978 she made wine at the Château Barbeyrolles, when in 1985, she created the Rosé "Pétale de Rose", a sheer pink wine that changed since the perception and reputation of rosé.
Her father Roger Sumeire let her develop one of the first vintages of white and red wine in the Tower of the Bishop which are regularly winning awards ever since. Member of the bacchanalian order since 1982, she was appointed Commander of the illustrious Order of the Knights of Medusa, and lady of the order of wine and table. Recognized by his peers of French titles in 2008, she became a member of the Academy of French wine.
