"Domaine Tropez is the culmination of a dream. The dream of a demanding, traditional wine, inherited from my grandfather. Domaine Tropez was created in 1996 as a tribute to his memory. Building a modern vineyard with the somewhat presumptuous challenge of achieving the highest standards. "Grégoire Chaix
Domaine Tropez was created in 1996 from the blending of different parcels of AOC Côtes de Provence. Covering an area of 40 hectares, the vineyards have been extensively restructured and, following numerous investments such as the construction of an ultra-modern cellar, Domaine Tropez has rapidly become one of the appellation's jewels. While the dominant grape variety is Grenache, which brings structure and aroma, Tibouren, the quintessential Tropez grape variety, adds elegance and finesse. The palette is rounded out by Cinsault for the rosé, Rolle and Semillon for the white, and Syrah and Cabernet for the red.
The personality of the estate's wines is the fruit of an exceptional location, exposing clay, limestone and sometimes sandy soils to a Mediterranean climate with a strong maritime influence. In line with the principles of organic farming, the estate practises integrated vine-growing: tillage is encouraged to limit chemical weeding, plant protection is adapted to each plot, and certified organic fertilisers are used. The grapes are harvested at very low temperature to produce rosé and white wines with elegant, complex aromas, but also to obtain the beautiful pale colour that is so characteristic of Domaine Tropez wines.
