50 years of art in France

From 15/12/2025 to 19/12/2025

INIS is an artist renowned for his mastery of oil painting techniques and his innovative use of typography. His works, rich in texture and color, transcend the traditional boundaries of figurative and abstract art.
Through this exhibition, you'll discover the different facets of his work, as well as the evolution of his artistic approach.

Francesco Gallo, in reference to and as a sign of respect for his origins, has chosen to call himself INIS, an acronym standing for "Io Nato Ievoli Sono" (I was born in Ievoli - Italy).
For as long as he can remember, he has wanted to be an artist.

Born in 1955 in a small Calabrian village called Ievoli, at the foot of the mountain between two seas, Inis came from a farming family. Drawing and painting were already part of his life. He composes on pieces of cardboard with brushes he makes himself from animal hair. He painted when he was alone, out of sight, in the mountains, during the long hours he spent herding goats.
At the age of 15, he went to Naples to enroll in the Beaux-Arts.

At 20, he arrived in France and settled in Maurienne (Savoie), where he devoted himself body and soul to his art in order to make a living from it...

As he puts it so well, "painting takes a lifetime...you start one day, but you never finish...".
The artist has managed to detach himself from the work of his beginnings to achieve a universal style that reflects the values in which he continues to believe and which he intends to share.

His lively, colorful markets are an invitation to travel; his harvest scenes are a tribute to the farming world, where his source of inspiration is the Massif des Bauges. His paintings delight the senses, in an overflow of warm colors, in the image of a human, passionate artist, faithful to his origins.

An artist whose reputation continues to grow, INIS exhibits in major French and international galleries.
