Travelling to Saint-Tropez by coach

Saint-Tropez is accessible by public transport thanks to regional and local coach services. Whether you’re arriving from a railway station, a coach station or a neighbouring town, there are several ways to reach the village without a car.

Choosing to travel by bus helps to reduce traffic, minimise your journey’s carbon footprint and enjoy a more relaxed arrival in Saint-Tropez, particularly during the summer months.

 

ZOU! buses

The regional ZOU! network connects Saint-Tropez to several towns in the Var department and neighbouring SNCF stations.

The main routes to note are:

• ZOU! 876: Saint-Raphaël / Sainte-Maxime / Saint-Tropez
• ZOU! 878: Toulon / Le Lavandou / Hyères / Saint-Tropez
• ZOU! 879: Toulon / La Môle / Saint-Tropez
• ZOU! 875: Gassin / Ramatuelle / Saint-Tropez

The main coach stations for travelling to Saint-Tropez

Saint-Tropez Coach Station

The Saint-Tropez Coach Station is the main arrival and departure point for bus routes serving the village. In particular, it provides connections to the SNCF railway stations in Toulon, Saint-Raphaël and Les Arcs, as well as several neighbouring towns.

Saint-Raphaël Coach Station

Distance from Saint-Tropez: approximately 38 to 41 km by road.

The Saint-Raphaël Coach Station is situated just behind the Saint-Raphaël-Valescure railway station. It is one of the most convenient entry points for travelling to Saint-Tropez by coach, particularly thanks to the ZOU! 876 service.

Fréjus Coach Station

Distance from Saint-Tropez: approximately 37 km by road

From Fréjus Coach Station, the journey to Saint-Tropez usually requires a change. The easiest way is to travel first to Saint-Raphaël Coach Station via the ZOU! 826 route, which serves Fréjus Coach Station and Saint-Raphaël Coach Station, amongst other stops. Then take the ZOU! 876 route to Saint-Tropez.

Depending on your starting point in Fréjus (excluding the coach station), some stops on the ZOU! 876 route may also be accessible directly, particularly in the Saint-Aygulf area or along the coast. We recommend checking the most suitable route before setting off.

Ideal for: travellers already in the Fréjus–Saint-Raphaël area.

 

 

Toulon Coach Station

Distance from Saint-Tropez: approximately 70 km by road

Located near Toulon railway station, the coach station provides connections to Saint-Tropez via the ZOU! 878 and ZOU! 879 routes, depending on the timetable. It serves ZOU! intercity routes as well as connections to the Toulon urban transport network.

Draguignan Coach Station

Distance from Saint-Tropez: approximately 47 to 54 km by road

From Draguignan, you’ll usually need to change buses to get to Saint-Tropez. We recommend checking timetables carefully before setting off, particularly for the ZOU! services and any possible connections to Saint-Raphaël.

Travellers coming from inland areas of the Var, provided they plan their connections carefully before setting off.

 

 

Getting around Saint-Tropez with the Saint-Tropez Bus

Once you’ve arrived in Saint-Tropez, the Saint-Tropez Bus makes it easy to get around the town. It serves several key locations, including the town centre and the beaches.

During the tourist season, the Communauté de communes du Golfe de Saint-Tropez publishes the timetables for the summer shuttle services. For 2026, the Saint-Tropez shuttle buses will run from 1 June to 30 September 2026 and are listed as free in the official document.

Useful information:

The Pysae  app allows you to track the shuttle buses in real time by selecting the “Golfe de Saint-Tropez – Saint-Tropez line” network. The official document also states that the shuttle bus does not run on Sundays or public holidays.

 

 

Before you set off

Before travelling, remember to check timetables, connections and operating hours. During peak season, journey times may vary depending on traffic levels.

To plan your journey:

• Check the ZOU! timetables for the Var region;
• Check whether your destination station offers a direct connection or requires a change;
• Allow plenty of time between buses, particularly when travelling from Fréjus or Draguignan;
• Use the ZOU! customer service for any queries about regional routes;
• Once you’re there, opt for the Saint-Tropez Bus to minimise car use in the village.
