Concert for Peace: 2 violin/piano duets
The 23/07/2025
Concert pour la Paix - Music for Peace at which 100% of ticket sales will be donated to civilian victims of the war in Ukraine.
We welcome two violin/piano duos with the Duo Paxemundi (made up of the brilliant Ukrainian violinist Anastasiia Mikusevych and pianist Thierry Jam), followed by the talented young violinist David BRINGUIER, who will play with the German pianist of Ukrainian origin Olga MONAKH.
A concert in two parts, before the artists take to the stage together. The artists will successively perform the greatest European composers, from Brest to Donetsk, with the aim of demonstrating and sharing a common artistic community.
Duo Paxemundi will first perform Mykola KOLIADA's Sonata for violin, the first and second movements of Cesar FRANCK's Sonata for violin and piano, and Viktor KOSENKO's Rêve opus 4 n°1.
Anastasiia MIKUSEVYCH graduated in 2009 from the Mykola Lysenko School in Kiev, and in 2014 from the National Academy of Music of Ukraine with honors.
Thierry JAM was born in Perpignan in 1970, where he began his musical studies at the Académie J.S. Bach in 1982. From 1988 to 1989, he had the privilege of working with Pierre Sancan, before meeting Maria Joao Pires in 1993, who discerned in him the talents of an authentic pianist and strongly encouraged him in this direction.
David BRINGUIER and Olga MONAKH will then perform pieces by Jules MASSENET (Méditation de Thaïs), Ernest BLOCH (Nigoun), Robert SCUMANN (Sonate n°1 en la mineur), Myroslav SKORYK (Mélodie) and Johannes BRAHS (Scherzo de la sonate FAE).
Born into a musical family in Berlin in 2010, David BRINGUIER began playing the violin at the age of four. He was soon noticed for his artistic sensitivity, and went on to win numerous prizes. Most recently, in May 2025, he obtained his Diplôme d'Études Musicales (DEM) from the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, graduating unanimously with "Très bien à l'unanimité avec les félicitations du jury".
For her part, hailed by critics as "a strong artistic personality with great imagination", Ukrainian-born German pianist Olga MONAKH has established herself in recent years as a brilliant soloist, esteemed teacher and committed artistic director. Her musical activities range from solo repertoire to chamber music and Lieder.
