Decoration of the Lighthouse - Saint-Tropez Couleur Bleu 2025

An event at the crossroads of Heritage, Culture and the Environment, it consists of dressing the Lighthouse in an artistic work to raise awareness of the Cause of the Oceans, while celebrating characters from the Tropézien Cultural Heritage who are sensitive to the living.
This year's Eighth Edition will celebrate the 90th anniversary of the birth of Françoise Sagan, the iconic writer who launched the Saint-Tropez des Prés of the 60s with her whole gang, and who has lost none of her modernity. Sagan is the new figure in Saint-Tropez's cultural heritage that we'll be putting at the top of the bill after celebrating in 2022 the 120th anniversary of Paul Signac's arrival at the helm of his boat in the port of Saint-Tropez, in 2023 the 150th anniversary of Colette's birth and in 2024 the 90th anniversary of the great Lady of Saint-Tropez: Brigitte Bardot.
The project, strongly inspired by the titles of the literary work of the woman nicknamed by François Mauriac "the charming little monster" of French literature, will be produced by JBC Art under the artistic direction of Agnès Bouquet and Maxime Eelsen, and will be inaugurated in the presence of the Lighthouse's historic patron, Maud Fontenoy, who has been with us since 2018. This event is organized in partnership with the City of Saint-Tropez and testifies to the audacity of this village-world carried away by the innovative impetus of Sylvie Siri, particularly involved in the major issues of the day (the Environment, the Oceans etc...) and always faithful to the historic language of Saint-Tropez: The artistic language.
The tribute to Sagan will be paid in the presence of her son, Denis Westhoff, and our supporters, Tropezian families of birth or adoption, who care about the influence of the characters who have made Saint-Tropez a myth. Prior to the inauguration at the foot of the Lighthouse, Maud Fontenoy's new film will be screened at the Cinéma Star, and the following day, "Bonjour Tristesse" will be screened at Plage de la Glaye, giving us the opportunity to rediscover on the big screen the work that made Sagan explode and gave the start of an extraordinary destiny.
