Exposition du Lavoir Vesserot - Ancestral - art Aborigène Contemporain d'Australie
From 16/05/2024 to 22/05/2024

Through their works, Aboriginal artists bring to life in the present their spiritual links with their ancestors and the land they traversed millennia ago. The ancestral energy released by the motifs and symbols placed on canvas cannot leave us indifferent, for it is expressed with an incredible modernity. Aboriginal art touches us all because, above all, it expresses and teaches us the essential: the quest for lasting harmony between man and nature. Welcome to the Dreamtime...
Red Dunes Gallery is a gallery created by Céline Emery-Demion, of French-Australian origin, with the aim of promoting and sharing the richness of Aboriginal art and culture. Having grown up and lived for some twenty years on this island-continent, Céline has come to appreciate its fascinating nature, incredibly diverse wildlife and immense territories. Thanks to her parents, who regularly traveled with her brothers in the bush to discover the country, she was able to develop a very intimate bond with this land and its beauty from an early age. This very personal attachment to the Australian land naturally led her to the discovery of Aboriginal art some twenty years ago, and this discovery turned into a passion.
Now back in France, she wants to share the energy and artistic power of this people, who, despite the persecutions of the past, remain a strong people, constantly fighting for recognition of their rightful place on Australian soil.
From Thursday 16 to Wednesday 22 May 2024 between 10 am and 8 pm.
