Eva Vermeerbergen and Herman Janssens, a duo of artists with distinct but complementary styles, exhibit their recent works at the Lavoir Vasserot. An encounter between colorful abstraction and impressionist-expressionist landscapes.
Eva Vermeerbergen and Herman Janssens have been working together since 2020. Each with his own singularity and experience, they have come to realize that they complement each other tremendously. Their works dialogue and coexist without overshadowing each other.
Eva Vermeerbergen, who has lived in Séguret, Vaucluse, for 25 years, favors abstract, or "non-figurative" painting. Her recent works explore nature, its light and movement, seeking balance and harmony in each composition.
Herman Janssens, for his part, defines his painting as impressionist-expressionist. For 30 years, he has been capturing the Mont Ventoux and surrounding landscapes with equal passion. His work reflects a quest for emotion and light, combining spontaneity and depth.
Over the past few years, a daily collaboration has developed. Behind each other's creations sometimes lies the know-how or ideas of the other.
They influence and inspire each other, but their creation remains, until now at least, an individual process.
At the Lavoir Vasserot, the artist duo present their recent works, offering a wonderful opportunity to discover two worlds in dialogue, immersing the viewer in a world rich in color, light and landscape.
