Lecture "HENRI PERSON FOUNDER AND FIRST CURATOR OF THE TROUPELEN MUSEON".

Lecture presented by Marie-Aude Bossard, the artist's granddaughter, assisted by her husband, with the participation of Séverine Berger, curator of the Musée de l'Annonciade.

Marie-Aude Bossard and her husband will explain the background to Person's creation of Saint-Tropez's very first museum, and the changes that led to the creation of the forerunner of the Musée de l'Annonciade.

Séverine Berger, head curator of the Annonciade, will talk about the artistic side of the Saint-Tropez group, and the contributions of plastic research that paved the way for numerous currents of modernity. The talk will illustrate the history of the painters who created the Saint-Tropez des Arts from 1892 onwards, and the protagonists who worked towards the museum's consecration.

We'll witness the birth of one of France's first contemporary art museums: the museon troupelen, followed by the first version of the musée de l'Annonciade in 1937, which led to the version that opened in the entire chapel in 1955.
