La Tarte Tropézienne will be blowing out its 70th birthday candle on the Place des Lices in Saint-Tropez, an event under the banner of sunshine, sharing and gourmet delights!
This anniversary is an opportunity to thank all those who love La Tarte Tropézienne
Created in 1955 by Alexandre Micka, this soft brioche with its crunchy sugar and iconic cream has conquered taste buds the world over. Brigitte Bardot herself had already adopted it on the set of the film Et Dieu... créa la femme, propelling this pastry to the rank of Tropezian icon.
To celebrate 70 years of deliciousness, La Tarte Tropézienne is thinking big, and intends to delight both Tropezians and holidaymakers with a festive, tasty and sunny program.
ON THE PROGRAM FOR THIS EXCEPTIONAL DAY
- Discover the history of this legendary patisserie in the heart of Saint-Tropez,
- retrospectives of the finest creations and collaborations,
- a Baby Trop' workshop led by the company's chefs,
- a competition to elect the next emblematic flavor of La Tarte Tropézienne, starting at 6:30pm,
- a sneak preview of Tropézienne ice cream,
- and last but not least, the unmissable live creation of an XXL Tarte Tropézienne, ready to treat over 3,000 gourmets!
A sneak preview of Tropézienne ice cream, an icy variation on the iconic pastry:
a novelty that will be available throughout the season in all the brand's boutiques. Finally, a Baby Trop' anniversary boxed set will be launched for the occasion. For the lucky ones, a golden coat of arms slipped into one of the boxes will enable them to win a hot-air balloon ride, a unique chance offered on this exceptional day.
To prolong the festivities and make the most of the summer atmosphere, there will be fun activities, a photobooth, pétanque games, postcards and goodies in the colors of the brand's 70th anniversary.
