Festival Rotary BD - Presentation of the Rotary Comic Book Award

Pif Gadget exhibition during the week, with school comic book workshops and book signings/author meetings at the weekend, and prize-giving ceremony.
THE PROGRAM
Monday, February 16 to Sunday, February 22:
10H00-18h00 Exhibition "Pif, a magical publishing phenomenon
(first floor, free admission).
Tuesday February 17 and Thursday February 19:
10:00-12:00 and 14:00-16:00 Comic book workshops
Introduction to comics, writing and drawing. These workshops
are organized for 8-10 year-olds and 10-14 year-olds to help
schoolchildren's interest in reading. ( first floor in
exhibition)
Saturday, February 21:
-2:00 pm Screening of the film retracing the great adventure of Pif and his gadgets.
in the presence of director Jean-Luc Muller.
-3:00 pm Café BD: Pif, a collective memory. Meeting and debate
with the authors of Pif le Mag and its director Frédéric
Lefebvre. (second floor room)
6:00 pm Inauguration of Rotary BD (first-floor room)
Sunday, February 22 :
-14h00 Café BD: From novels to comics. Meeting and debate on
the adaptation of literature into comics, with Serge Scotto
scriptwriter of the Marcel Pagnol comic book series.

-4:30 p.m. Presentation of the Rotary Comics Award in the presence of the authors, jury and winner. (second floor room)
The Rotary Comics Prize is awarded to the comic strip author who best
best illustrates Rotary's values. The winner will have been elected
by the Rotarians of District 1730 from 11 nominees. Each Rotarian having
voting preferences on the District 1730 website.
Saturday, February 21 and Sunday, February 22, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm:
-Authors' signings at the Falba bookshop stand in Toulon.
Falba de Toulon (first floor of the exhibition).
Signings by regional authors on the stand of the Saint-Tropez bookshop.

This event is in keeping with the year's theme of our
Rotary International District 1730:
The fight against illiteracy, literacy and the promotion of books and
and the written word.
Let's not forget that reading a comic strip is first and foremost about
reading...
