Lavoir Vasserot exhibition -Mouss

From 19/03/2026 to 25/03/2026

Exhibition of paintings and dyes (all unique works - from figurative to abstract) by self-taught, multidisciplinary professional artist Moustapha Maïga - known as MOUSS.
Mouss has won numerous awards at competitions and shows in France and abroad, and has been exhibiting internationally for over 30 years.

A professional, multidisciplinary and self-taught artist, Moustapha Maiga, known as MOUSS, returns to present a new selection of her unique works - ranging from figurative to abstract - at the Lavoir Vasserot in St Tropez.

Like a storyteller, through his canvases and dyes Mouss communicates his observations and his deep sense of life - the visible and the invisible. He paints sound. He seeks to "tame matter - magma" and "capture light". Always favoring noble materials - working mainly with natural pigments and textile supports, and his own herbal preparations - he paints with his fingers, sometimes with both left and right hands, sometimes holding several brushes simultaneously...

With a career in art spanning over 30 years, Mouss never ceases to surprise. He's always on the lookout for new sensations, approaches and techniques to communicate beyond words. The harmony of colors, shades and shapes, skilfully fused with his evocative and intriguing compositions - sometimes arouses unexpected emotions and feelings in the viewer. Some say that Mouss has six or even seven senses, so multi-sensory is his work. When you look at his paintings, you can't help but feel the artist's warm, communicative spirit.

From 19/03 to 25/03/2026 daily between 9 am and 9 pm.
