Les Nuits du Château de la Moutte - Nicolas Dufetel, Olga Jegunova

The 04/08/2025

For 50 years, the Nuits du Château de la Moutte have been bringing Saint-Tropez to life in the moonlight, between the courtyard, the palm grove and the Canebiers beach, with concerts of classical, baroque, jazz and world music. A magical rendezvous under the stars.
Musical show for young and old
Music and Nature: animals
Joy, sadness... but also a storm, the wind, water, the sea, a bird or an elephant... That's all music can evoke. In two concerts, let's discover together how music can not only awaken emotions, but also imitate the world around us, making it sing through the magic of sound.

Nicolas Dufetel (Musicologist)
Nicolas Dufetel is a musicologist, CNRS research fellow and deputy director of IReMus (Institut de recherche en musicologie) in Paris. Author of a thesis on Franz Liszt, he has been a guest researcher at BnF and a laureate of the Houghton Library (Harvard University) and the Humboldt Foundation in Weimar. His research focuses on 19th-century Europe, in particular Liszt, questions of aesthetics, epistemology, the dialogue between the arts and the history of music in the Ottoman Empire.
He works regularly with a number of festivals and organizations (Vézelay, Lisztomanias, Philharmonie de Paris, Luxembourg, etc.) and has published several books on Liszt, Wagner and religious music, most recently "Le Château de la Moutte: Un joyau romantique à Saint-Tropez" (Flammarion).
He is also deputy mayor of Angers, responsible for culture and heritage.

Olga Jegunova (Piano)
Olga Jegunova is a multi-faceted artist combining various genres and disciplines. As well as being a classical concert pianist, she also devotes herself to educational projects and philanthropic activities.

Olga has been playing the piano for over three decades, during which time she has performed a variety of musical genres as a soloist and in internationally recognized ensembles.
These include the Latvian Academy of Music JāzepsVītols, the Hochschule für Musik und Theatre Hamburg and the Royal College of Music in London. Her repertoire is therefore vast, ranging from Baroque to contemporary pieces composed especially for her. Olga is also a Steinway artist.

Another facet of Olga's creative career is music journalism and education. After presenting the Tchaikovsky Competition LIVE for Medici TV, she began publishing interviews. This evolved into her podcast, which explores music history and contemporary music practice, and where great artists talk about tradition, meditation, experimentation and much more.

In London Olga founded a charity supporting musicians of all ages and organizing fundraising events, The Open Music Foundation. Olga is also artistic director of the "Les nocturnes" festival in Solliès-Pont, Provence.
