Exhibition at the Lavoir Vasserot - Circum Mare, Pierre-Louis Photographies

This project was inspired by photomontages and the interplay of light on characters and architecture. It will take you on a journey through various places and countries all around the Mediterranean. Here, the arts blend together to create the most unique worlds.

Pierre-Louis MUNIER, a photographer, has been developing an artistic practice since 1990 centered on landscape, material, light, and the relationships between art, nature, and cultures. His work is characterized in particular by an exploration at the intersection of photography and the visual arts, combining photomontage, painting, play of light, and work with materials.

For his exhibition at the Lavoir Vasserot, Pierre-Louis MUNIER will present “Circum Mare,” a traveling exhibition dedicated to his photographic perspective on the Mediterranean region. The project is structured around three themes: “Marines obsessions,” a series of photomontages centered on the sea and waves; “Circum Design,” which explores the connections between urban landscapes, architecture, and nature through black-and-white photographs; and “Circum Mare, Portraits,” dedicated to the women and men he has encountered around the Mediterranean.
This exhibition invites the public to take a journey around the Mediterranean and discover an artistic approach that blends photography, painting, architecture, nature, and human figures, allowing each visitor the freedom to develop their own perception of the works.
