Lavoir Vasserot exhibition - Laura Dreyer
From 29/05/2026 to 02/06/2026

Born in 1991 near Marseille, Laura is self-taught and lives in Les Baux-de-Provence.
Painting, photography, lead stained glass and sculpture have become her principal means of expression.
In this exhibition, Laura invites viewers to escape into her poetic world.
Nature, femininity and Art Nouveau are her main sources of inspiration.
Through her works, inspired by her walks, her travel memories and her encounters, the artist wishes to instill EMERVEMENT, POESY and EVASION.
The Vasserot washhouse is a highly inspiring space for Laura, and she will be presenting mainly her acrylic works on large and medium-format canvas, as well as a few nature photographs, stained glass and sculpture, in order to fully enter her world and her approach.
She hopes to convey the emotion she derives from the beauty of nature, slowing down the pace to contemplate what surrounds us.
A painter since 2024, she also has a passion for nature photography and is taking up stained glass and sculpture.
Formerly a maître d'hôtel, barmaid and pastry chef, these twelve years will remain fascinating experiences! "I was lucky enough to discover the richness of our gastronomic heritage, trained by great chefs. But in 2022, something clicked and she felt a visceral need to express herself. She finally found her voice, and in 2023 organized several exhibitions that confirmed her ongoing need to share her world. In 2024, Laura decided to quit her job to live her passions to the full.
NATURE, BIRDS, FEMININITY and NEW ART are her main sources of inspiration.
Through her works, inspired by her walks, her travel memories and her encounters,
She wishes to instill EMERVEMENT, POESY and EVASION. She likes to reveal the beauty of nature in a gentle, poetic universe.
For her, it's important to take the time to contemplate what surrounds us. Perceiving beauty becomes an obsession; and it's mainly in Nature that she finds it.
Indeed, Laura has a passion for nature photography. At first, she went off on her own to recharge her batteries and draw inspiration from the wonders the world had to offer. Fascinated by birds, she takes the time to observe and photograph them. There's a constant need to store up beauty; it's an essential emotion for her, protecting her from a fast-paced world. Then, it's through painting (acrylic) and, more occasionally, stained glass and sculpture that Laura transmits all the freedom she feels, all those beautiful emotions.
Intrigued, she decided to study this artistic movement and became fascinated by this total art form that emphasizes nature and femininity. "I'm amazed by the jewelers, master glassmakers, architects and cabinetmakers of the period.
All this sensitivity and imagination has remained buried since her childhood, but now it's an outpouring: the artist is always searching for light, for beauty, to soar towards a life as colorful as possible.
"By appreciating the beauty that surrounds us, time is suspended, wonder invades us and we allow ourselves to dream... I don't wait for it to come to me; I'm always looking for it.
I believe that Beauty protects us from the violence of our world. Ever since I was a little girl, I've always looked for beauty to escape the darkness. I used to dream a lot to escape a reality I didn't always like.
I'm convinced that beauty makes us better and can save humanity."
