An exhibition of original figurative paintings on the subjects of ST TROPEZ, the CÔTE D'AZUR, the ÎLES d'HYERES, PROVENCE, BRITAIN and CHINA, as well as abstract canvases inspired by the SOUTH PACIFIC and CHINA.
Yann Rebecq is a prolific painter whose career has been shaped by a series of encounters and events. Born on November 4, 1955 in Douala (Cameroon), he spent his childhood and youth in New Caledonia. Arriving in France in 1973, he met renowned artists such as Eugène Baboulène, Henri Pertus and Antoni Clavé, who became his mentors and friends. In 1978, his first exhibition in Toulon marked the start of a rich and varied career.
Over the following decades, Yann Rebecq exhibited his work in many countries, notably in the United States, where he was guest of honor of the city of Nashville, and then in China, Australia and throughout Europe. His work has been recognized and acquired by prestigious museums such as those in Baltimore and Kristiansen, and by China, which has acquired 25 paintings for its museums in various provinces. He has also been honored by various arts organizations, becoming an honorary member of the Sichuan Academy of Arts in Chengdu, and the Asian Art Association based in Singapore.
Yann Rebecq continues to exhibit actively, collaborating with renowned galleries in Provence and Brittany, as well as internationally, notably in Beijing and Shanghai, Sydney and Nouméa. His career is a testament to his talent and commitment to art, having succeeded in establishing a significant presence on the international art scene.
