Nuit européenne des Musées

The 23/05/2026

Game designers Andralude invite you to La Citadelle for an interactive investigation into the illegal slave trade in the 19th century.
2026 marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Taubira law recognizing slavery as a crime against humanity. This year, European Museum Night falls on the same date as "the national day in homage to the victims of colonial slavery".

It's in this commemorative context that the town is inviting game designers Andralude to take part in an interactive investigation with visitors to the Maritime History Museum on the theme of the illegal slave trade in the 19th century, and of Tropezian Captain Gimbert, a famous player in the illegal trade between the coasts of Africa and the West Indies in the 1820s. See you at the Citadelle on Saturday May 23 from 5.30pm!

Saturday 23 May 2026 from 5.30 pm.
Nocturne until 10pm on all sites.

Free entry. Free entry from 6 or 6.30pm until 9 or 10pm, depending on the site.
