Two major Christmas concerts by candlelight in Saint-Tropez: Sardinian polyphonic music performed by the Conservatoire du Golfe on December 5, followed by the Toulon Opera Choir on December 6, at Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption.
As Christmas approaches, Sacrée Musique returns to Saint-Tropez for its traditional candlelit concerts at the Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption Church. Two exceptional events invite residents and visitors alike to discover Saint-Tropez’s heritage in a new light, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere where the beauty of the voices blends with that of the stone and the light.
On Saturday, December 5, 2026, at 8:30 p.m., the Tenores di Orosei will introduce the audience to the traditional polyphonic music of Sardinia. This vocal quartet performs a unique and powerful style of singing, deeply rooted in the oral and sacred traditions of their island. In the first half, the Children’s Choir of the Conservatoire du Golfe de Saint-Tropez will bring a touch of freshness and inspiration to this evening dedicated to sharing. Doors open at 8:00 p.m.
On Sunday, December 6, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., the spotlight turns to opera with the Toulon Opera Choir and its program “Lux Aeterna.” Under the direction of Christophe Bernollin, with Pascal Marsault at the organ, the ensemble will perform works by Rheinberger, Franck, Mendelssohn, and Cherubini, among others. An expressive musical journey, carried by the intensity of choral singing and the richness of the sacred repertoire. Doors open at 5:00 p.m.
Presented as part of the Sacrée Musique Festival, sponsored by Stéphane Bern, these two concerts celebrate the magic of Christmas and highlight an iconic venue in Saint-Tropez.
