World Chess Day

To mark World Chess Day, the "Les Fous de la Vieille Tour" Chess Club invites you to a friendly tournament on the Place de l'Ormeau, from 9am to 5pm.
As every year since the creation of our chess club, we celebrate International Chess Day, which marks the founding date of the International Chess Federation in Paris on July 20, 1924.
We would like to organize this event on Sunday, July 19, 2026 on the Place de l'Ormeau, from 8am to 6pm (open to the public from 9am to 5pm). The event will be open to all, and aims to promote the game of chess to a wide audience, in a friendly, intergenerational spirit.
