The Green Key label for sustainable tourism
Preserving our land and resources is a priority shared by all those involved in tourism. To promote environmentally friendly practices and meet the growing expectations of responsible travellers, several establishments are committed to sustainable tourism by aiming for the Green Key label.
Rolled out in France by the Teragir association, the Clef Verte label distinguishes establishments that implement concrete environmental management practices while guaranteeing a high level of quality and comfort for their customers. Present in France and internationally, this label, recognised by professionals and visitors alike, embodies tourism that respects the environment and local populations.
For our visitors, choosing a Green Key certified establishment means opting for a sustainable, transparent tourism experience that is mindful of its impact on the environment.
For professionals, the initiative provides a structured framework for improving their practices, promoting their commitments and joining a network of actors committed to ecological transition.
The label is based on specific criteria, and candidate establishments benefit from support tools and access to a dedicated professional platform.
To better understand the label’s requirements and prepare an application, a presentation webinar hosted by the Clef Verte management team is available for replay.
Thematic webinars also provide an in-depth look at each of the label’s main criteria and offer practical support to establishments in structuring their approach. We strongly recommend that you consult them in order to optimise your application: Environmental policy and living environment – Environmental awareness – Water management – Energy management – Responsible purchasing – Waste management
Committing to the Green Key label means joining a network of establishments recognised for their environmental commitment, meeting the growing expectations of French and international customers, and actively participating in the sustainable dynamic promoted by our destination.
